Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) organized its annual alumni meet, Connexions 2024, on the 18th of December 2024, with a series of events to commemorate the day. The day brought together graduates from different batches to reconnect with their alma mater, celebrate shared memories, and strengthen the alumni network. Connexions 2024 was filled with a wide range of engaging activities, from sports events, Pop-Up Stalls, Chowgule Conversations to a grand finale Connexions Cultural Eve, with special showcase events! The event not only provided a platform for alumni to relive their college days but also allowed current students to interact with and learn from their predecessors.

The day began with Pop-up Stalls set-up by both Alumni and current students with unique offerings for the season, while the futsal and controlled cricket special matches were being played between Alumni and current students. The Pop-up also saw a stand-up competition and a singing competition lending a sense of zhuzh and nostalgia for the alumni walking in and interacting with their teachers. They were also surprised with a flash mob organised by the dance club. One of the highlights of the day was the unique "Human Chess" event, organised in the quad, where two esteemed alumni played the part of the King on the human chess board, directing their human pieces to move around! Alumni and students participated as human chess pieces, with each player representing a different chess piece, moving according to the rules of chess.

Chowgule Conversations saw notable former students share their personal journeys and career achievements since graduation. Notably the speakers were Ray Gomes (Batch of 21), Shweta Mahajan (Batch of 20), Kartik Redkar (Batch of 19), Ankur Kankonkar (Batch of 19), Shailesh Kamat (Batch of 17), and Alysia Gomes (Batch of 15). The conversations served as an inspiration for current students, offering them valuable career advice, life lessons, and guidance on navigating post-graduation challenges. From Ankur's journey as a blind student to an entrepreneur with his own company; Shweta's journey to counselling Army jawans in Kashmir, Shailesh continent hopping for his job interacting with various people in different languages, Ray's journey from an English graduate to a Business school at Oxford University, and Alysia's journey to winning Miss Goa, and now being the face of 30 brands! The speakers highlighted the importance of staying connected with the institution and the power of networking within the alumni community. Their stories of success and perseverance encouraged the current batch to aim high and stay grounded in their goals.

Chowgule Connexions Cultural Eve was a lively celebration of talent and creativity, showcasing performances from both students and alumni. Principal Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Sankhalkar welcomed the alumni, encouraging them to synergise with the institution, and looking to the future for growing connections - the theme of the day. Club Acoustica the student band took the stage to deliver an electrifying performance that set the tone for the evening, followed by a song performance from the non-teaching staff, and dances from students. Alumni also spoke about their memories related to college. The event served as a reminder of the lasting impact that the institution has on its graduates, while also inspiring current students to strive for excellence and stay connected with their alma mater.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the alumni who attended and participated in the event, as well as the current students, faculty, and staff who helped organize and facilitate this successful day. Special thanks to the volunteers, performers, and speakers who contributed to making Connexions 2024 an unforgettable experience.
